Confused 😐

I’ve been with this guy for 5 months going on 6. Things have been rocky already but we always end up getting back on “good terms” which doesn’t last long at all. Lately I’ve noticed something. I’ll call him, and he doesn’t call back EVER. 4 days can go pass and he still wouldn’t call. Which is weird because we always use to talk on the phone. He also always used to ask me to come over. He wanted me at his house literally every single day and hated when I left. Now he can go weeks and weeks without even asking to see me.......... text messages are even weird now. He keeps the conversation to a minimum and stops texting back a lot out of nowhere. But when I get on Facebook he’s online posting and what not. I carry 90% of the conversations and I’ve also noticed 80% of our falling outs, I was the one who put in effort to get us back on good terms. Recently about a week ago we stopped talking for aboutttt 3 days. He didn’t text, didn’t call, etc. I eventually called him which is why we’re talking now. A strong feeling in my mind is telling me he’s not emotionally here anymore. He’s here physically but that’s about it. I feel there is no emotional connection at all like it used to be. Am I overreacting or does this really sound like an issue? I’ve tried telling him how I feel but it’s like it goes in one ear out the other and he blows it off as me being “extra.” Originally I told my mom that what I was gonna do about this situation is let it take its own toll. If that makes Any sense. Basically I’d step back and let whatever happens, happen. I’m gonna put in the same energy and effort he is putting out. My mom said I shouldn’t do that I should just leave 🤦🏽‍♀️
