Is prenatal the same as taking folic acid? So I was taking prenatal vitamins but I heard folic acid is better to take....isn’t it the same

So it’s important to note that prenatal vitamins have folic acid in them. That’s what you want to be on. Taking just folic acid on its own is not good enough.

All pregnant women should take at least 400 micrograms (mcg) of folic acid daily. Many pre-natal vitamins contain 600 mcg of folic acid.

If you want the best prenatal,  look for one with FOLATE,  not folic acid. It's the easier to absorb, natural form.

Your prenatal should contain folic acid. If it doesn’t find one that does. My doctor recommended Nature Made. It has everything you need.
