TMI tooth extraction (don’t click if you’re squeamish.)

I got my tooth pulled this morning. I put damp gauze in my mouth for several hours, and it didn’t seem to stop bleeding. (Not terribly, just oozing.) I was starving so I ate chicken noodle soup and tried my best to keep it on the other side of my mouth. However, a noodle got stuck in my extraction hole and I didn’t realize for an hour (I was getting my prescription filled, and the novacaine still hasn’t worn off, 6 hours later). I noticed when I got in the car, and pulled it out but tried not to touch the sore, just the noodle. I’m home now, and it looks like there’s still some kind of food stuck in the hole. I tried to gently rinse with salt water, twice, but it’s still in there. I’m scared I messed with the blood clot when the noodle got stuck in there, especially since it’s still oozing blood. Should I leave it alone (and hope it clears itself out) or keep trying to swish with salt water (and risk getting dry socket)?
