How to get rid of acne scars?

Are there any products that help lighten the scar? I just have a couple that are driving me crazy.

I use skinceuticals , it’s expensive but is amazing . But look for products Vitamin c, retinol, hydroquinone
licorice extract
N-acetylglucosamine
vitamin B-3 (niacinamide)
glycolic, lactic, citric, malic, tartaric acid
azelaic acid
kojic acid
salicylic acid. 
All these chemicals are used to treat hyperpigmentation.
You can also have laser resurfacing, microdermabrasion, or strong chemical peels too .

Following as well. My boyfriend had/has cystic acne and he is very self conscious of his scars, but they don’t bother me. Would like to help him overcome this.
