You can actually do whatever you want.

I’m sure you can, but my favorite method for purées is to freeze them in silicone ice cube trays and then transfer the cubes to freezer ziploc bags for storage.

I don't see why not. But the reusable squeeze pouches are way easier to work with and there's no wasting bags.

I was about to post that breast milk storage bags are way too expensive for that. But I looked it up and 100 breast milk bags is like $12-$15 and 75 quart freezer bags is like $5-$8, depending on name brand vs. generic. So it’s more expensive, but not that much more and it is a convenient size for one serving. 
I still think an ice cube tray would be easier and way cheaper in the long run, but I guess it’s a better idea than I originally thought 🤷‍♀️
