Ive become more and more solitary as ive gotten older. I used to have so many "friends" and now I literally only have 3 people i consider my friend and I barely talk to them lol. Im a mom a a 2.5 year old and pregnant. Anyone else super solitary?

I think as we age we tend to care more about the quality of friendships versus the quantity of friendships. I have very few friends but they are real, true friends that I will most likely have a connection with for the rest of my life.

Making friends as an adult is difficult. I moved to a new state & still only know a handful of people & wouldn’t consider anyone a super close friend. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Unlike some commenters, I would really like to have more friends. Most of my friends are out of state. So we communicate via text and social media which is a poor substitute for friendship. 
The first years of parenthood I heard are the most isolating. I didn’t realize how much so though. I have a 2.5 year old girl and a 5 month old son. The only people I talk to really is one or two friends, my spouse, and family.  I hear the social world expands though once the kids are in school because the children start to socialize and I’ll be forced to speak with other parents. I’m looking forward to that.

I have a baby who’s almost two. I have 5 close friends that I speak to weekly, some daily.... and I see at least one a week. It works out well because my husband is also good friends with them and their S/Os so we all get together for nights out frequently as well.

I have a total of 2 friends 😆
One I see maybe a handful of times every year, and another I see somewhat regularly (but we’ll go months without seeing each other).
I’m also lucky and I get along with my sister-in-law, and my nephew’s mom, but we don’t ever hang out together.
I prefer it this way!! I don’t get along with women very well, and I haven’t been able to find a male friend who doesn’t get creepy with me 😂

I have a few friends in my classmates, and although I enjoy talking to them, it gets uncomfortable after a while. I prefer either being by myself or with my SO. There’s not much of an in-between.
