My little one used one from day 1! Sure I’ll probably get comments telling me that was wrong but it seemed to do the trick soothing him. He still wakes for a feed every 3 hours and is putting on an oz a day so I can’t be doing anything too wrong!

My baby had a 2 day stint in the NICU, and they gave her the pacifier in there. She’s 2.5 weeks old, and we gave in and let her have it the last two days when she’s been fussy- she had just been fed and changed and held as well. I’m breastfeeding and supplementing with formula, and there’s been no problem with her latching the last week. I figure no harm if she was already exposed to it in the NICU.

If you're breastfeeding, you should still be nursing on demand. Even if you're formula feeding, your baby will still need to eat every 3-ish hours, their stomachs are tiny and little one is rooting because they're hungry.

Since day 1. Hospital told me I shouldn’t have because it’ll confuse her with the boob but I didn’t listen. She stopped latching on day 3 but that’s okay I just have to pump and bottle feed her
