Do you fight with your S/O about politics?

So every time my gf and I attempt to talk about politics or even just stuff that’s going on in the world.. we get into it and she always ends up crying. We both are very passionate about our stances but we never see eye to eye because we are so opposite. Anyone have any tips on how to get a good political convo going?

Maybe just avoid it? Disagreeing on smaller stuff is okay but I couldn't date someone who was racist, sexist, classist, ableist, etc

my husband and I have the same base political views, but we do disagree on a few minor details. we do not argue.

My husband and I disagree occasionally, but on the important stuff, we see eye to eye. 
Whenever we do have disagreements, we typically take time to hear each other out and respond accordingly.

Not really.  We respect each others right to our own political opinions and we just don't talk about it if we know we won't be able to see eye to eye.
We have fought in the past, but that was mostly the result of me being immature and not respecting his right to his own political opinions.
 You and your SO need to learn to respect each other.

I voted yes, but it is almost never an actual fight. We have discussions and sometimes change each other's minds and other times we don't.

No we don’t argue about it. What good would that do?  Plus we have similar views and rant to each other about the bs that goes on these days.
