TTC and need answers!!!!!!!! 😪

So I have bee with my husband for 5 years we have been married for 6 months and we are recently trying for a baby. Now back in feb I had a miscarriage I was 6 weeks we were both devastated and a few weeks shortly we separated but we are back together and happier then ever. When I was about 17 I was rushed to the emergency bc I was having a severe pain on my left pelvic side and it turned out I had a cyst on my ovary I was supposed to go in for surgery but never went or had it removed. My grandmother and mother both had trouble conceiving so I'm wondering if it's happening to me. I haven't been to a doctor since March. So I want to see a doctor and just see if everything is okay or see if I'm even capable of having children. So my question is what kind of doctor do I seek for me and my husband bc he wants to be checked as well? Do I seek a regular family doctor or do I seek a fertility doctor or do I start at a gynecologist? That's where I don't know where to start.
