Naps?!

Do your little ones take long naps during the day? Our LO is 10 weeks tomorrow and sleeps decent at night about a 5 hour stretch then another 2 hour stretch and then thats it for long periods of sleep. She does small 5-10 minutes snoozes. I seriously get excited for a 20 minute nap. Normal or should I dive into some nap sleep training?

Same!!! Mine is 11 weeks and 20-30 min naps are like...rare! Lol

My LO is the same! I was at the doctors a couple weeks ago and I mentioned how he never naps and he had fallen asleep for about 10 minutes while we were there and the doctor was like “see! He naps”. It’s normal for my LO anyway, some days he’ll have a 30-1 hour long nap mid-day and always has one late evening about an hour to 90 minutes prior to bed time and he’s been getting about 7 hour stretches right at bed time.

Just make sure you are keeping them awake after their feeding for 60-90 minutes and you should be able to get solid naps in. My LO bounces in and out of good long nap days- 3 1.5 hour naps- to 1 long 2 hour nap and 45 minute ones. But I do notice a difference when I keep her awake for longer than an hour after she eats.

My first was the same way until we did sleep training. My Second takes 1 hour naps. Doctor said no sleep training until 4 month with my first so that was hard.

I get no more than 30 minute naps out of my daughter now. She’s nine weeks and she used to do 3 hour stretches at a time.
