Would you still go on date night...

Okay so our wedding anniversary is this Saturday, and my husband and I had originally planned to go on a date night and have the grandparents babysit. Well last Saturday my son got really sick. Long story short (after a trip to the ER), he just has croup (basically a cold with a bad cough). Anyway, he still has a cough and is pretty congested, but in good spirits otherwise. Eating normally, playing, etc. What would y'all do if he still has a cough by Saturday? The pediatrician said it could last for 10 days but he's not contagious. I know my parents could handle it, but I worry he'll need his mama :(
