so this is my hair... and I usually go to a shop and get a silk press but it’s $70. I just wanted some opinions from some fellow naturals! Do you guys do your own silk presses? And if so, with what products do you guys use and temperature for flat iron?

I’m not too familiar with wearing my hair natural. As I usually wear braids more than I wear it out. But I definitely recommend a Babyliss flat iron!! It works so well. The ones you see in at the mall kiosks work well also! I have mine on 400-415.

Your hair looks baby fine, so I would get a ceramic flat iron at 375 and heat it for 10 mins before using it. Make sure you use heat protectant, Olaplex #6 is a great one for curls you can put it in your hair wet before you dry/flat iron it

Remington pearl 100% 11/10. My hair is significantly thicker than yours so I use 450 (the highest setting) so for you I’d go 300-370 but it’s really up to you to get comfy with

Your hair is gorgeous!!! But if you want it straight/salon quality... I love all Shea Moisture products, they’re available at a Target and Walgreens or most major drug stores. Specifically their silicone free leave in spray after washing (the one with marshmallow root smells so good) then use a light oil (I like biosilk) and if your ends are dry, use a light cream to seal the ends before blow drying. 
Blow dry in smaller sections & clip the rest up (more gentle than a hair tie = less breakage) and use a round brush. The key to a good press is a good blow out first, so take your time with this process. It gives you a solid base to work with and requires less heat to get straight with the flat iron.
Once your hairs dry, you may need a little more oil w/ a heat protectant depending on hair type/how well it retains moisture. Flat iron in small sections and use the lowest heat setting that’s appropriate for your hair to avoid damage.
Your hair is curly but not kinky so it should be pretty easy to do on your own! Also wrap your hair at night (there’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube of how to do this if you’re unfamiliar) or sleep on a satin pillowcase to keep your hair straight so you don’t have to use heat daily, or braid it to get soft waves.
