Now that our babies are rolling around should we still use sleep sacks at night?

I find my LO sleep longer in it at night, but is also very mobile in the crib and is all over the place?! And baby is almost 5 months and it’s chilly at night ..

Sleep sack with arms out is fine. Not the swaddle type.

My son LOVED being swaddled with his arms down but we had to stop once he started to roll over. We tried a few of the transition swaddles but he hated having his arms out for some reason. I read about the Zipadee-Zip swaddle online so we got him one to try out and he ended up loving it. It covers up his hands so I’m not worried about him getting cold at night and it allows him to roll around in his crib and I’m not worried about it covering up his face. In the winter I’ll put warmer pajamas on underneath.

I suppose heavier PJs are an alternative. But I’m not comfortable with introducing loose blankets.

Sleep sacks without the swaddle thing is good forever. My first used them until he was 2yo, he loved it.
