I’m a burden to the company?

My (male) boss told me today my pumping is a burden to the company. He’s been treating me very different since I have been back at work and I’m honestly very offended after that comment today. He has also said he is accommodating me a lot by letting me pump. Is that right? Do I have the right to be offended?

He is not accommodating you by letting you pump; its the law. He can have a lawsuit on his hands by not letting you pump or by telling you that it is an inconvenience. Talk to hr and file a complaint

It is a right by law. I am a teacher who teaches from 7:30 to 12:15 every day without a break and they have already said they will legally find me a time and place sometime in the middle of there to pump. It isn’t convenient at all, but they have to by law so they aren’t sued!!

Of course you have a right to be offended. You have a legal right to pump. Now - if he’s still allowing you to pump, he’s not breaking that law. However, if he’s treating you poorly because of it, that’s a form of “pregnancy” discrimination. I’d definitely talk to HR so someone can inform him that his behavior is unacceptable. Unfortunately he can’t get in legal trouble unless he denies you the opportunity to pump or changes your job in some way because you pump, but it’s still worth bringing it to someone’s attention.

It’s illegal. You have a right to feed your child. Every job must accommodate a nursing mom. With him harassing you about it, it’s a form of discrimination and he can be sued. If you are uncomfortable, you have a right to go to your HR department and put in a formal complaint. No one should feel uncomfortable at work.
