They’re not all bad

So after what I feel like is constantly hearing about pediatrician disapproving nursing after a year especially nighttime nursing I have to share my shock with my pediatrician today. She asked the dreaded question if he still nursed to sleep and if he wakes up still to nurse, I was honest and told her yes he does nurse to sleep and occasionally he’ll wake up at night to nurse but it’s not every night. As I waited for the judgment all I got was a smile and encouragement that even if he doesn’t need the calories at night anymore if he still seeks to nurse at night and I’m content with fulfilling that need than it’s perfect to continue as long as I felt was needed.
