After 5 years my exboyfriend gives me an ultimatum either apologize to his mother for a fight we had or we wont be together. I was really torn up about it because i'm still thinking that we could make things work and replaying parts of our talk in my head and then something hit me.

He told me that without the apology we couldn't work on us and move on, that he would be cordial until the apology. Which included one or two texts a day only involving our daughter. And what I realized was that there was no need for the ultimatum because he's already made the choice how can there still be an us when we arent speaking?? when I cant call you and know that you'll pickup? When I cant reach for your hand or put my arms out and know you'll be there to hold it or give me a hug.

He told me he'd always be there to support me but their's no support without communication.
