My ex gave me herpes. He was cheating on me a lot and I didn’t know. When i first met him he told me he was clean but a month after meeting him i had noticed a few things so after going to the hospital they told me i had herpes and chlamydia. But his test for chlamydia came back negative and he didn’t know he had herpes. And he was the only one I’ve been with unprotected and i never cheated on him. Stupidly I stayed with him for a year and a half longer because I didn’t think anyone else would want me and I didn’t want to pass it to anyone else. I had two kids by him because i always wanted kids and felt like it was my only chance. I tried to work it out with him and get him to stop cheating but he kept cheating . So i left but we coparent so i have some help. Its been a year now and I’m just trying to accept the fact that I’ll be alone for the rest of my life now. I say all of this to say don’t be stupid like me. If you’re dating someone new go get checked for stds with them. Get a full panel done. And always use a condom.
