Legs can go anywhere as long as they fit the weight and height requirements. Definitely get a fit check on car seats for littles on bf!

I would check the car seat manual. Mine makes no mention of legs, just that the head should be 1 inch below the top. I don’t see why legs would matter, my toddler’s legs have been past the edge of his car seat for years.
