Did becoming a mother change you?

Did your personality change when you became a mother. I was having a discussion with some of my coworkers (I am the youngest) and I’m a little shy, one coworker said she was very shy until she became a mother. All of the other coworkers agreed that becoming a mother made them less shy and more outspoken and outgoing. This made me wonder how many others felt a change in their personality when they became a mother?
