Tea tree oil and pregnancy?

So my skin broke out again recently and nothing is combating it, so I put some drops of tea tree oil on a cotton ball and rubbed it on the affected area but then I went on the internet remembering I saw something months ago about it not been pregnancy safe. About it causing early contractions or something? I've got myself in a tizz worrying about my baby now and washed it all off in a haste. What do you ladies think? Have you used it and its fine? Or stay away? I'm 10 weeks pregnant?

It’s more if you use it a lot, just try avoiding it but some oils are good maybe look up a safe replacement for it x

I use essential oils. I think you’d have to use a very extreme amount for it to do anything honestly. I made a mixture with tea tree in it for my hemorrhoids when I was around 37 weeks- didn’t cause contractions. I also used my clary calm roller everyday my whole pregnancy and supposedly clary sage causes contractions too- did not do that for me. Of course I’m not a dr so if you are concerned call your dr and ask for reassurance 😊
