Do you believe that hair contains energy?

Has anyone heard of the saying that their hair contains negative energy? Do you believe that it’s true?

Some indigenous american cultures do believe that your hair is a sensory extension of your body and can feel energy. That's why they grew their hair long.

I’m British, in our culture we don’t link any kind of energy to hair. Hair is simply just hair. 
But I’ve heard that other cultures believe that there is significant importance to hair. Where they prefer to grow their hair out and keep cutting to a minimum. 
The only time I’ve heard of negative beliefs about hair - more specifically women’s hair, is in conversations about Christianity or Islam. Where women were taught to cover their hair in public as a sign of modesty. But again, I don’t think that has much to do with energy.

Well considering what is sprouted out of your scalp or arms or whatever.. as in the hair you can physically see, that is already dead.. so technically.. there is no energy in that.. energy needs movement.

The blue circle in the photo shows what part of the hair that actually has energy. 
The yellow circle shows what part of the hair that doesn't have energy. 
The energy comes from within the body and that hair has movement, that comes from the capillary goes into the hair papilla and through the bulb.. the energy ends as soon as the hair exists through the skin.. once you can see the hair.. it no longer has energy as it is dead.

In all seriousness, I've never really thought about it. I don't think so though. Ive never felt energy off someone's hair before.
