Dating Help?! Never encountered this!!

Question

Okay, I met this guy on online and we got off to a great start. We had a date on Friday night that went well, BUT.. I learned that he is currently trying to finalize his divorce and he has a young daughter. He told me he had a child so that isn’t a big deal. My question is should I pursue this while he is still technically, legally married?

Personally I wouldn’t. There’s always a small chance that it’s won’t go through and they get back together coz of the child.

I started dating while my divorce was being finalized. My marriage was over. My ex husband moved out. I filed. There was no chance at reconciliation. This was in 2014. I met my now husband 3 months after my ex husband moved out and we were technically still legally married for the first 3 months of my new relationship. I don’t think him going through a divorce means you’re a rebound. I also think if he’s being truthful about the situation there isn’t any reason you need to stop dating him. It worked out for my second husband and me. We’ve now been married for 3 years with our second child on the way. We have a beautiful home and a great life together. If he were as close minded as the other women commenting on this post I wouldn’t have the life I have.

So many factors to consider... how long have they been separated? Of course so many guys lie about being married or separated I guess I’d be waiting for the other shoe to drop

When i met my (now) husband, my ex and i were in the process of filing for divorce and were separated. We were living in different states and only talked when it came to stuff about the divorce (or when he was trying to make my life hell). When my (now) husband and i started dating we hit it off instantly and it was just so natural, but I really wasn't looking to date it just kind of happened. My divorce process was finalized about a year in to dating my partner, luckily he is so patient and was super supportive because it wasnt easy and had ups and downs. It's really up to you on whether you want to continue seeing him and take that on because it's a hard road even if he is "over her".  The reason i left my ex was I caught him talking to and dating other girls and telling them we were going through a divorce when we were still fully together and living together, so could go both ways and hopefully he really is separated. Follow your gut and your heart.

Depends on how long he’s been going through the divorce. It can take a long time to finalize. If it hasn’t been long then I wouldn’t pursue it. But if it’s been a few years then I think it’s fine.
