I’m currently out of town and stayed in a hotel for the first 5 nights of the trip. I paid upon arriving at the hotel and notice immediately that the money was taken out of my account at the time. When I woke up the other day to check my balance it showed that I had over $900 in my account when the day before I only had $400. I spoke to my bank to make sure someone else money wasn’t dropped into my account and they said that for some reason to amount I paid for the hotel got released back into my account so when I check out I’ll probably still owe them the money. Well I checked out this morning and nothing was said about the payment. I even got the receipt and there’s no balance due. The payment to the hotel was also cleared from the account. I will be speaking to them so I can give the money back but is this something that is a normal occurrence? I’ve stayed in hotels before and never had this happen.
