Heavy sleeper

Ok so I have this fear that because I am a heavy sleeper that I won’t wake up when my baby is crying or needs something. The baby will be in the same room as me but I’m just so scared. Was anyone else a deep sleeper before their baby was born? Does it change when you have the baby?
