So I am 7 weeks pp and I had a 2nd degree tear, I’m not sure how many stitches were put in. Last week the nurse who checked me said I was healed and could start having sex again. We tried last night, but couldn’t.

It’s like the perineum now extends past the vaginal opening and it’s really firm and won’t stretch. I did make sure I was good and warmed up and there was plenty of lube, so I know that wasn’t an issue.

But I’m kind of worried now. Did the doctor stitch it up to far and will it stretch over time? When I check with my finger I can feel the perineum where it didn’t used to be! Did anyone else have this issue?
