Need opinions on this!

I live in a apartment complex. My 8 year old made friends with the kid that lives directly across from our building. He constantly asks me can he go over and ask the kid to come out and play. Every time he’s done that the boy’s mom says he can’t play or he’s busy. Now I just asked him why can’t the boy come ask you out to play. He said the boys mom told him he can’t come over here to ask.

I just told my son I don’t want him going over there asking can he come out anymore.
