If you’re going to get fired...
Won’t they typically do it without notice at the beginning or end of a shift? Its not like they’re going to schedule a meeting with you and then fire you right? I guess I don’t know. I know what I did wrong (didn’t follow a policy/procedure correctly with documentation by mistake) and my assistant manager handed me an official letter today (I work for the Government) that stated we’ll be having a meeting on Wednesday and that they are advising me to get union representation. This is probably just a warning/write up and not actual termination right? I’ve never been in trouble for anything at work before.
UPDATE: the meeting didn’t happen, I ended up calling in on the day it was scheduled. Probably didn’t look great but I was legitimately ill with a doctors note. Anyway, went back to work the next day, still sick but powered through. Tried messaging by boss (assistant manager) right away in the morning asking when it would be rescheduled for, no response. She saw me multiple times throughout the day and never brought it up. Come to find out our actual manager will be on vacation next week and the meeting can’t happen without her. So I’m guessing my odds of being terminated are very very slim. I really think that they wouldn’t let me keep working like this if they were going to fire me.
