I wouldn’t ever shave their heads. My hair grew awkwardly when I was younger but my mom just let it grow until it was long enough to cut into a cute haircut to the middle of my neck (which I wanted) and it all grew normally after that.

Ok so I didn’t catch the ages before I voted I shaved my five months olds head and by one she had a cute lob and I ended up giving her a haircut then to make it a cute little bob :)

We have a family member that married into a family that's from India. When their daughter was like 2-3 months old they shaved her head. Partly for the regrowth: thinking that it would grow back faster, fuller, and thicker. And partly because it's a tradition, something to do with new beginnings or something? idk if it helped with the regrowth or not, but it was kind of cool to hear about.

My MIL used to shave my SIL’s hair, when she was an infant though. It is common in many cultures and helps the hair look even. I would never shave a 7 year old... 3 years old is even pushing it, maybe just a trim.

My MIL shaved my daughters hair bald one day I asked her to watch her while I went to work because daycare was closed. She shaved her bald that day! She had just turned 2. My MIL told my SO she did it so it would grow back thick and pretty.. And her hair looks the same. I just had to deal with people asking if she had cancer for months ..I wouldn’t do it unless they’re babies
