Counting kicks?

When am I supposed to be counting kicks?

I don’t count mine my baby has a pretty regular schedule and she kicks often so ahhh ik she alive

I would only count kicks if you feel baby hasn’t been moving like normal or if the doctor tells you to. Otherwise you’ll make yourself crazy - at least, it would make me crazy. 
Based on my conversation with my doctor, kick counts aren’t a totally standard thing. It’s becoming more common because women are constantly nervous and worried about their babies, and kick counts are a simple way to get reassurance. 
So it’s up to you but it’s not necessary. If you want to start them, at least wait until 28 weeks. My office recommends 32.

Personally my doctor told me to just watch and make sure hes active if something you feel os off come on but the recommended time is 28 weeks most people have a set time

After 28 weeks and only if you notice a change in your baby’s normal movement pattern. If you you haven’t felt them move in a while you drink some cold water or juice and lay on your left side and count till you get 10 movements in 1-2 hrs.

Movements before 28 weeks are sporadic, so don’t drive yourself crazy. After that, if you feel like movements are less than normal you can do a count. I never actually do them since my girl is plenty active. But it’s good to keep some awareness of this as the due date approaches since reduced movements can be really serious in the last month or two.
