Anyone else struggling with names?

Question

Were having our first girl and last kid in Feb and we cannot decide or even get close to a name for her. I want to order a big wooden sign for her room but we cant even get close to a decision!! what do I do!?! I'm 20 weeks so it's not like a huge hurry but I'd like to get a few narrowed down at least!

Hmm this is why I choose “family names”... there are so many possibilities. I’d say you both make a list and then make a final list together with those names they you both agree on. After that at least it’s narrowed.

I used Wikipedia to look at historical and fictional characters of the names that were ok my long list of options. For example I like Vincent but it's the name of a lot of criminal and gangster characters in movies, and Vincent the Martyr from 300 DC isn't exactly a role model either, being famous for withstanding torture....
So now the list of names is much shorter!
I also found the article of how to name your baby on the blog WaitButWhy both helpful and entertaining!
