Halloween decorations “too scary”

Do you think that Halloween decorations can be to scary? I personally love making my own Halloween decorations and making them gory, but people have been telling me that there too scary and that I shouldn’t give out candy because the decorations they will see when I open the door are going to scare kids. I personally don’t believe Halloween can be to scary and I’m still planing on giving candy out. The outside of my house is just as decorated so it’s not like it’s only scary when I open the door. I just want to see what other people think. Is it ok to put up scary/gory decorations and still give out candy?
