So my son stopped using his paci about 2 months ago when we sleep trained him. He won't even take it if we offer when he's upset. However, we've kept it in his bed because he likes to hold it until he falls asleep. Well, this morning I woke up and it was in his mouth lol I really don't want to start this habit again, but I don't really want to take away his comfort item. I don't feel like he really needs it, but I like him to have something to entertain himself/hold until he falls asleep. Do you think I could replace it with a teether? I can't give him a blanket or lovey because he puts it on his face and panics and I worry about suffocation. I want something somewhat small that we don't have to worry about. Suggestions?
