Should I take her to the doctor?

My 6 month old keeps pulling at her ear. She doesn’t have a fever, but she does have a tooth coming through. Is she pulling on her ear because of the teething pain? Or could it still be an ear infection even though there is no fever?

You'd know if it were an ear infection, there would be other symptoms. Sounds like teething to me. Teething behavior can start way before the tooth actually starts appearing.

Sounds like a teething thing. My daughter does the same thing. She also pulls and rubs her ear when she's sleepy.

My son pulls his ears always,  and no infection. He is exploring his body

Id go to the Dr just to be on the safe side. My daughter had repeat ear infections from 6-18 months. The first time we didnt even know because she didnt seems to be in pain, no crying, no ear pulling. We only caught it cause we were at her 6 month check up. The following ear infections the only sign was the ear pulling.

Maybe she just discovered her ear and likes to play with it? If there’s no other symptoms I wouldn’t go to the dr

My kiddo pulls on hers when she’s tired and sometimes when she’s teething.

My son ONLY pulled his ears. No other symptoms and he has repeat ear infections as a baby.
