Title says it all! I just need some advice and opinions.

I started this job 2 weeks ago, everyone is so lovely. There is ONE guy that works here, we’ll call him John.

John is 20, I’m 18. He’s pretty happy go lucky and chats with everyone, all around a nice guy.

He and I both have long term SOs that we have mentioned to each other a bunch of times.

We work 1 on 1 sometimes and he talks non stop, he tells me to “stand there and look pretty”, has a lot of banter with me. I catch him staring at me all the time. He loses his temper really fast with everyone but is particularly patient with me.

Regardless of if he is flirting or not, he makes fun of my boyfriend? I’ll tell him about the cars my boyfriend has since John is into that, and he’ll say “that’s such a gay car” “your boyfriend is gay” and put him down. I tell him not to do that. I’m not sure if he just has ego issues and needs to put my SO down, or if his way of flirting is trying to be more masculine than my SO?

Regardless, I need advice. I hate it when people shit talk my SO and if this is flirting I don’t want it to escalate.
