Is there such thing as too many Braxton hicks contractions.?

Starting last night around 10 pm I got a lot of contractions. On a 1-10 pain scale, 10 being the worst, they were about a 6-7. My stomach was tight and then at one point I felt a pulse like feeling. But it wasn't my pulse because it was too slow. I googled and found that maybe the baby had hiccups. I don't know though. Anyway, I had these contractions again this morning. I had a few when I woke up in the night and I'm assuming I probably had more but slept through them.

They have slowed down today but I'm still having them. Last night I had them about every 8-10 minutes and they lasted anywhere from 15-30 seconds.

By the way- I'm 31 weeks 3 day

With my last I was in the hospital for 24 hours cause I thought I was having contractions and going into labor. Come to find out they were just really strong BH. They were really strong to the point that my mom could see when I was having them and they lasted about 45 sec. My OB put me on some med to make them slow down a little bit it was super scary cause I was only 28 weeks. He told me that some women can feel them more than others and since I was so tiny (5'3" at 135) that I was going to feel them like that. For me they didn't hurt they just knocked the wind out of me, that was the thing that the Doc said would be the difference (which it was 😁)

I had BH last week for 4hrs. At times they were 3-4 mins apart. I drank a ton of water, took a warm bath, laid on my left side and they eventually went away. BH use to scare me during my first pregnancy. Now, I realize they are nothing compared to the real contractions I felt when my labor started. Those made my eyes water!! I think you should call your dr regardless, better safe than sorry and what you have going on doesn't seem normal. It could be nothing, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure.

Yes you can. I have just been put on half days of work because of them. I thought it was normal and didnt care about them, but my docter sent me straight for an ultrasound after our appt and with my BH and combination of a shortening cervix she wanted me on bed rest. For an army girl who was still doung all my workouts it was frustrating to hear. Im very fit and active i feel like a failure somehow. But i managed to get half days instead of complete bed rest. She will reevaluate next appt. so monitor your BH and take it easy.... I id have a lot though.... Sometimes even three in a row within 15 minutes.... If its only a few a day its fine.... For me it was really the combination of bh with my cervix shortening.

Usually if they are constant like that 8-10 min then those are real. but.. You would still be having them that often if not even more because real ones would just keep increasing. So if they are still irradic then ya they are Braxton, and that ask does seem like quite a lot but they told me it's normal as long as they aren't constant in nature. I was getting them often for a few weeks but only as high as like every 10-15 min
