To wash or not to wash 🤔?

Is it critical to wash new baby clothes before putting them on your little one?

Most clothing is made in third world country factories. Various sprays, chemicals, pesticides etc are used in these facilities, not to mention the people touching them at the factories and the stores. I used to work in a high end retail store and we would receive items new in the packages, and the boxes also had things like rat poison, mucus, even blood stains.
Wash everything.

I worked at Kohl's for a long time stock room and freight opened my eyes to how clothes arrive to stores i will never not wash my own clothes now let alone baby's. Not to mention some clothes have dyes and such that babies could react to might as well throw them in the wash.

I've put my 9 month old son is clothes unwashed and he's been fine. I guess there's a chance your child could have an allergic reaction, but it'd probably be mild, and very unlikely. I don't think it's necessary to wash every single item you have because the likelihood of you having a bunch of clothes that you'll need to return is greater than the chances of your child having a reaction
