Baby shower before or after birth?

Where I’m from most baby showers are traditionally after the baby is born but it seems like most are happening before the baby is born on here.

I would like to have it after but when I think all the peoples who would be around my baby is what makes me change my mind.

You don’t want that many people around your new born baby.... they can get sick so quick and you can and will regret it very quick.. do whatever you know to do, because mama knows best for her baby but just be careful! I’d do it before if I were you..... I’m doing it a month prior to my due date.

i think its better before but if the ppl youd be inviting are expecting it after thats all up to you

I think there are pros and cons to both. It’s nice to have some things ahead of time, but if you have it after, then you know better what you actually need.

I’m actually contemplating doing one after if I’m not feeling well. How do you guys do it? How long after and what do you put on the registry?
