My son calls my husband mama

I don’t know why he knows how to say daddy he used to all the time. He is over 20 months. He says mama. He calls his cousins that too. He does it when he wants them to look at something he is doing. People have said it sounds different then when he calls me. But idk. Why does he do this? Like I said, he knows daddy and said it before.
