Did things change between you and your SO after a miscarriage?

Were they supportive and loving or did they seem to distance themselves from you? I'm not really sure what is normal.

I think it depends on the person, people handle grief differently. We have had 7, my husband usually shuts off and doesn't talk to me for a day then each day becomes more and more closer and comforting.

There is no normal. My husband grieved right along with me, but struggled more because he took on my pain too. We lost Helen at 11 weeks. I had a D&C and we had her cremated. Our relationship was so strained during that pregnancy. I was violently sick and my hormones made me hate him. We didn't sleep in the same room and only spoke when he would come in to give me my injections until about 10 weeks. At that point, we were doing a little better. He drove two hours to my high school students' competition to cheer us on and it was kind of a turning point. The last day there, I bled a tiny bit. We went to the ER where we argued. He was antsy, vaping in the room knowing I didn't want it around me and going "for walks" and "to get snacks". He wasn't in the room when they did the ultrasound. It was a misdiagnosis and she wasn't ok like they said. 2 days later, she didn't have a heartbeat anymore. That night, he slept with me and didn't leave my side for weeks. We reconnected and he was my rock. Losing her was the painful thing we had ever experienced, but it brought us so close. This pregnancy has been so different. I'm 22 weeks and we're closer than ever.

My husband was as supportive and loving as he could be. I think most men are confused and probably overwhelmed by the loss, whenever it may occur. They probably aren't very aware of how to best support their wife/gf while they're trying to cope with it as well.

We lost our baby at 21 weeks, almost exactly 2 years ago. It took me almost a year to start grieving and I don't think I will ever stop. My husband never showed signs of what I thought was normal grieving, which upset me. We almost divorced because we each needed to grieve in our own way and I couldn't accept that-like I couldn't accept the loss of our son. But after spending a summer apart and realizing we are stronger together, we're closer and stronger than we've ever been.

My husband and I leaned on each other. I felt like it was my fault and I blamed him, unfairly, because it was an unexpected pregnancy and he wasn't excited about it when I first told him. I talked to him about it and I stopped blaming him, because it wasn't anyone's fault. There were times where I needed to grieve and he didn't, but that was okay, because he was always there for me when I needed him. Knowing that he is always on my side helps with calming my nerves about having another miscarriage.

There really is no normal way to grieve. My husband and I definitely tried to grieve together rather than apart but sometimes I needed to cry and he didn't but he was right there. 
We grew together and tried not to blame the other for our hurt. 
It's a tough thing to go through but God had a purpose for it in our life.

Me and my ex boyfriend where very sad. But we where both young and he wasn't there like I wanted him to be. He wants to get back with me but that's something I don't wanna go back to.

My husband was extremely supportive. Took time off work & cooked for me. I don't know what I would have done without him.

My husband was very supportive and loving. And still, if I need to cry he tells me to cry and sits with me and loves me through it. He took it really hard too and he cried too. But after about a week he needed to be around his friends and "act normal" whereas I wanted to crawl into a hole and it took me about a month to want to see anybody. This caused a little bit of stress between us, especially when he wanted to leave me to hang with friends. But when I explained I just wasn't ready yet and afraid to be left alone, his whole demeanor changed and he understood. We've become so much closer. It's given us confidence that we can handle anything together (even is sometimes we are upset with each other). I love my husband more than I ever thought possible and know I couldn't have found a better partner in life.

I tried to be as supportive as possible. She pretty much laid in bed for about 3 weeks. I took care of work and house during that time.
