How did your baby’s doctor treat thrush?

I’m 90% sure my baby and I both have thrush. My nipple soreness was finally subsiding and then all of a sudden nursing became extremely painful again. My baby has white on her tongue and sides of her mouth so I’m pretty sure it’s Trush. UGH.

Both you and baby needs to be treated. Most likely your doctor will prescribe Nystatin for baby and an antifungal cream for your nipples. 
You also need to replace breastpads really frequently, wash all clothes/bras on high temperature, minimum 60*c, as well as wash and sterilise all pacifiers, bottles, toys that baby put in the mouth.

Nystatin for 10 days for baby and I had to take an anti-fungal as well. Boil all her bottles, pacifiers, etc. every couple days.

Take baby in, they’ll probably give them nystatin for their mouth. You’ll have to kind of swab it around, they can’t just drink it and get the effects because it needs to come in contact with the white in the mouth.
When we had it, I was able to call my OB and tell them baby was positively diagnosed with it and they called in a nystatin cream for me. She said you can just use some of what they prescribe baby, but she prefers the cream because it stays on longer and feels more relieving.
Use disposable breast pads and be sure to sterilize any bottles, pump parts pacifiers frequently until you are both completely clear of it. And don’t stop as soon as there’s relief - continue the medicine about 3 days after you think it’s gone in both of you otherwise it’s likely to return. Good luck!
