Sleep sack or pjs ??

Question

I know I’m probably overthinking this. But my 3mo sleeps well in halo sleep sacks. Without the swaddle. I put him in a long sleeved onesie and a sleep sack for naps and at night. But I only have two and he spits up a lot. Also they’re $20 for one so I’m not too keen about buying more. But I’m so worried about putting him in footed pjs and him being too hot or cold. What would you guys do?

Do you have a once upon a child near you? I get my halo sleep sacks from there for $4.50 and they’re always in awesome condition! I have found them at TJ Maxx for $10. Sometimes TJ Maxx and Burlington have off brand sleep sacks for around $10 too! I will sometimes put my daughter down in just footie PJ’s but I just feel like she sleeps so much better with a sleep sack.

Try a kids consignment shop. I got 5 Halo sleep sacks (3 micro fleece, 2 cotton) from once upon a child. I also got 2 muslin cotton off brand sleep sacks from the same place. I spent less than $20.

So I got some cheaper sleep sacks off amazon.  They are thinner so I put my son in pjs and the sack when its cooler and just the long sleeve onsie for when it's a bit warmer.   Hes 15mo and has been sleeping like that since he was 3mo.     I use them too bc he has shown climbing tendencies and the slick sleep sack keeps him from climbing in bed lol

Always put mine in footie pjs and a sleep sack with her arms out because she hates having them contained haha. Check TJ Maxx for discounted ones. If the back of baby’s neck is hot or their cheeks are bright red, then you’ll know they’re too hot.

I think it depends on how warm/cold your house runs. I’ve always just used footed pajamas. You could put a onesie underneath for additional warmth or buy the fleece kind which would be even warmer. You could just use them on wash day for the sleep sacks.

Either would be good. Maybe try a different brand of sleep sacks, if you like them better than the pjs.
