Painful urination?

So I had a UTI about a month ago and it cleared up after going to the doctor but now the painful urination is back. I’m on my period and there is no weird discharge or itchiness or anything so I went to the doctor again and he said there is no UTI this time but kept asking if I could have an STD/be pregnant. I’m not sure what to do or if he was hinting that I have an STD or something. I also have no idea how or where to get tested. I’m kinda freaking out.
