Are you getting the flu shot while your pregnant?

I dont know what to do. Never got it since I was a kid. Ob says she recommends it because flu is supposed to bad this year and protects baby as well if I get it. Your thoughts...

Look up flu vaccine efficacy. Some years it’s only about 20% effective. I never get it and didn’t get it while pregnant. I’m 100% for all other vaccines I just don’t believe the flu shot is worth getting because it is often not very effective

the flu is deadly... you should most definitely consider getting it so you dont pass on the deadly germs to the baby, they're not able to get flu shots until they're 6+months old. I got mine a month ago and I also havent gotten one since I was a kid but if I can prevent anything in anyway than I will do it for my baby

I just got the TdAp.. the whooping cough shot. We never get the flu or flu shot. Last time I got the shot was in 2012... same for my kids. But all other vaccinations are a must!

I’m on the fence my midwife told me it’s mainly for people who get ill and old people

This isn’t even something I would ever question. I have gotten the flu shot every year that I can remember, and being pregnant is just all the more reason for me to get it.

In my opinion why would you not get it if it can help your baby? Seems like such a little thing to do in order to potentially protect them from the flu.. you don’t have to be working in order to contract it. Your spouse, other children, groceries, and mail could all pass it along and there’s nothing you’d be able to do about it if you don’t have the flu shot. Tiny little shot - no big deal. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My doctor recommended that I get the flu shot as well as whooping cough shot so I got both!

I never get the flu shot, but I'm not risking it this year. I'm a teacher and I'm around all sorts of crap. I don't want to get sick while pregnant  😬

I was conflicted about getting it this time too. I never got it as a kid and never in my whole life had it... Untill labor with my son😅 I actually went to the hospital knowing I had it and they told me I didn't. Didn't find out I actually did have it till after my son was delivered so that's why I was thinking maybe I should get it this time, but I've decided not to. Every year they say it will be bad, and it only protect you from whatever stand they're injecting you with, which they been wrong about the past few years so it's hit or miss with it. I'm not going to be leaving my house much so I've just decided I'm not gonna get it.
