If youre not trying to get pregnant, use condoms.
Tracking your cycle isnt a guarantee, sperm can live in you for 5-7 days and the pull out method is not reliable

Well... Not having sex.... Staying on your birth control until 6 months... Condoms work, but not all effective, pull out method you still have a chance of getting pregnant...

Tbh condom is the best. It is pretty much reliable if it isnt expired, and protects against STDs. Use that

Personally I would do condoms and track my cycle. Just know your chances of pregnancy are going up getting off of the pill. If you absolutely don’t want to get pregnant for 6 months you should just stay on it for 6 more months. Trust me I hated the pill too but if you cannot or absolutely do not want to get pregnant right now then you should just hold off for 6 months. 
If you and your husband would like to hold off but wouldn’t mind if you did end up pregnant then condom and tracking is good.
