After being 2 days late and enduring 36 hours of labor just to end up having a c-section, our little girl finally arrived yesterday, October 9th, at 9:11pm weighing in at a whopping 8 pounds 13 ounces. I wasn’t dilating enough, she wasn’t moving down into my pelvis, she was coming down on an angle, and she was face up. So they made the decision to do a c-section. I was so upset since I worked so hard during labor, but that all melted away as soon as I heard her cry. They said there was no way she was coming out vaginally so it’s good that we went with the c-section.

She has been nursing like a champ and immediately latched on as if she was teaching me how to feed her. We are so in love with her and she is absolutely incredible! I never knew I could love someone I just met so much! I feel like I’ve known her all my life but also can’t wait to learn all about this little stranger!

She has had some breathing issues and a fever today, but she is already doing so much better and they think she will be out of the special care nursery on Saturday! 🙌🏻
