Just got the call from my doctor. My induction date is set 10/17.

I knew right away when I saw my doctors number come up that something wasn’t right. I had just been in there yesterday and had another ultrasound yesterday (and they said I should hear within 3-5 business days). Although cord blood flow is good and her heart rate is still good, and although ultrasounds aren’t 100% accurate and have a margin of error, she has actually lost weight in the past 3 weeks and they are estimating her to be approximately 4 lbs 6 oz, instead of close to 5 lbs as it was 3 weeks ago.

I’m not scared about the induction process as I was induced with my first due to high BP at the very end of pregnancy (I was 40 weeks 2 days when I had my first; this time I’ll be 38 weeks exactly). But it scares me and worries me that it’s showing her weight has gone down. Again, I know there’s a margin of error and ultrasounds can be wrong, but it’s still not a fun thing to hear that your baby is losing weight as you’re still her only home. And I know this is the best for both of us.
