Heartbeat at 136! 😊 help?

I heard my babies heart beat yesterday, it was at 136 I'm really hoping for a boy💙💙💙... I was so excited until my doc said, that myth only works 50 percent of the time 😑😑. Way to kill my joy! But was this true for anyone? I'm 16 weeks 5 days. Find out the sex next week. just want to know if your babies heart rate was Accurate to the myth of if your babies heart rate was over 140 girl and under boy? What do you think ladies ?

Haha, it works 50% of the time because it's either right or is wrong - get it? Pretty sure he may have been making a joke.

It is an old wives tale. You're just as likely to find someone who says high = a girl as you are to find someone who says high = a boy.

My baby was 112@6w, 172@8w, and 174@12w. We thought girl going into our appointment at 15w to find gender. Had dropped to 142 and was all boy. I think it's "kind of" accurate when you are further along.
