Facebook announcements

So I decided I didn’t want to make a fb pregnancy announcement as I’m naturally very private, don’t care much for many of my fb friends and wouldn’t want to trigger anyone who has experienced loss etc.

Though the nearer I get to my due date, the more reluctant I’m feeling about even announcing the birth! I hate attention and most of the people on there I don’t speak to.

Would it be rude/wrong of me not to announce anything to people I used to be quite close to?
