Blood tests

With my first pregnancy I found out at the doctor never took a pregnancy test found out at 4 weeks 1 day ..then went for blood work and had my first sonogram at 6 weeks. This time I found out before my missed period called and they said to come in at 8 weeks for my sonogram anddddd no blood work! It took us 7 months to get pregnant with first child and -st time with this one! Soo I feel like it’s not real until the sonogram! How am i going to make it 3 more weeks?! Did everyone get blood work I wonder why sometimes yes sometimes no. Should I call back and ask? My pregnancy test had a strong line at 10dpo and I just keep testing lol!
