Dad made an executive decision😅

& started what I guess will be sleep training. I’ve been heavily considering it because I can’t take the up every few hours thing anymore. It’s been two months solid with no long stretches at all- I mean every two hours she’s been getting up. I’ve been pushing it off till we put her in her own room but we just need to do it. Her naps are also always on us. I’ve always nursed her to sleep. Or he holds her to sleep. & grandma watches her while we’re at work and she rocks her to sleep. So today- I’m at work and I get a text from dad saying they’re attempting a big girl nap. He put her in her pack and play and she whined off and on (not even a real cry!!) for about 15 minutes before passing out. It was a SUCCESS!! This was the picture I got⬇️

I have a few general questions for those who have already sleep trained-

Did they wake up super often those first nights?

Did you cut night feeds at the same time? Our pedi told us she can go six hours without a feed. That was at 6mos- thinking at 7+ months it may be different?

And one question for breastfeeding moms who have sleep trained-

How did you avoid the painful engorgement issues of cutting feeds?

I’m thinking I may need to pump to wean myself down. I got mastitis once already and don’t wanna deal with that again. And maybe just feeding her once at 2am.

I am so proud she put herself to sleep for her nap! Yay baby & daddy! Momma was having issues pulling the trigger😅

Any and all advice on sleep training welcome.
